Keys To Making Your Dreams A Reality
Genesis 37, Genesis 38, Genesis 39
1. Don't be surprised when people close to you do not believe in your dream. a. Your family may give up on you and your friends attack you, but you cannot be moved by their lack of enthusiasm for your dreams.
b. Let's face reality: it's your dream, not theirs. The reason many will not be able to believe or see your dream is because ~ They just can't see it; God didn't show it to them. ~ They are jealous. ~ They don't believe you can do it. ~ It seems to big or impossible.
Never give up on the dream, regardless of what happens to you.
a. Your life is not based upon what happens to you but on how you respond to things after they happen.
b. When your dream is from God,it will come to pass as long as you stay faithful.
c. Joseph only saw the victory-he didn't see the pain in his original dream.
d. He was sold into slavery for several hundred dollars.
e. He was falsely accused of a crime (rape). f. He was sentenced to prison. g. The butler forgot about him for two years. h. What do you think Josephs out come would have been if he would have been bitter toward his brothers for selling him into slavery? i. Or what if he would have given into the pressure of Potiphar's wife and had sex with her? j. God will prosper and promote you even in difficult times. Stay faithful; don't give up!
The path to reaching your dream may be different or longer than you expected. a.When God reveals His plans and purposes for our lives, we also have to find out when these things are supposed to happen. b.It took twenty-two years for Joseph's dream to come to pass. c. In our society we are used to having everything right here, right now! d. Just because it doesn't happen when you thought it should doesn't mean God didn't speak to you. The timing may just be off.
God will promote you if you keep your heart right.
a. The key to overcoming life's challenges is not to hold bitterness and un-forgiveness. If we hold onto these things they will be a constant weight in our lives. The Lord will bless you and everyone around you when you live for Him.
a. Look what happened to Joseph's family when he followed his dreams. His immediate family and his extended family were blessed.
b. It literally saved their lives! They were doomed and starving to death.
Many of you have dreams and aspirations. Remember that just because they don't come true"right now" doesn't mean they never will.
Regardless of what happens to us, we must stay focused on the vision and dream in front of us.
